Praying is important, its your time to converse with God but most of us including myself are guilty of using the time of prayer as an opportunity to talk your problems to death, to describe them, to cry unto the Lord and although that may be necessary at times, I found I am better off when I speak profoundly about how the situations I am experiencing are leading to the change that I need to lead me to greatness. I feel better when I give praise for it is said in the bible when you praise you shall indeed be raised and why complain when nothing ever happens against us but is always for us.
So let me give you an insight on some of my empowering prayers that remind me to look up even when down is how I am feeling and to stay encouraged despite it all.
1. Short Daily Prayer
I trust in you oh lord who holds the power and wisdom of my subconscious mind to lead me, guide me, govern me and direct me in all my ways. Through you oh Lord I am poise, I am serene and I am relaxed. I radiate love, peace and good will to all. I am living in a superstructure of happiness all the days of my life. Thank you Lord that you're helping me maximise each day that I live.
It is so in divine order.
Amen
2. Focused Prayer
Today I delete from my diary two days-yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday was for learning; tomorrow will be a consequence of what I do today. Today I face life with the conviction that this day will never return and its the last opportunity I have to contribute. Today I am courageous enough not to let opportunity pass me by. My only alternative is to succeed. Today I invest my most valuable resource, my time, into my most important possession, the life you O, Lord have given me. I spend each minute purposefully, making today a unique opportunity. I tackle each obstacle knowing that with God's help I can overcome it. Today I resist doubt and pessimism and warm my world with a smile. I maintain strong faith, expect nothing but the best, take time to be happy, see every task as an opportunity to honour the Lord, and endeavour to leave his footprints on the hearts of those I meet.
It is finished in divine order
Amen
3. Motivational Prayer
Let the words of my mouth [my thoughts, my mental images] and the meditations of my heart [my feeling, my nature, my emotion] be acceptable in your sight, O Lord [the law of my subconscious mind], my strength, and my redeemer [the power and wisdom of my subconscious mind that redeems me from sickness, bondage and misery]. Amen! (Psalm 19:14).
I declare that my thoughts are enriched by creative spirit of God within me. I am filled with renewed enthusiasm, and my life is a vision of prosperity. I relax, release any anxious thought, and peacefully rest in Gods presence. I am a magnetized wo/man who is full of confidence and faith. I know I am born to win and to succeed.
4. Short Night Prayer: I am sleeping in peace, waking up in joy and buzzing with energy
5. Short Day Prayer:Throughout the day I have smiley face, a joyful spirit and I'm full of energy
If you choose to focus on God, life and its perils are so much easier to deal with because you are not just relying on your strength. I hope this leads you to have an existing praying life if you do not have one and may it also lead you to have a more positive prayer time that empowers you.
I also recommend the book "The Power of A Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy as it is what helped me develop most of the prayers I say including what I have shared with you. I also encourage you to go to church and connect with others of your faith, there is always something to learn when in the presence of God and those of the same spirit.
